Day 3 was very moving. We started the day by walking to the Jewish Quarter. Honza shared what the Jewish experience was prior to, during, and after the Holocaust. If you don't visit Prague with a RS Tour, we HIGHLY recommend obtaining tickets for the Jewish Museums.
There is no way to give words to the feelings that we felt throughout this tour, therefore we will simply share the photos we could take. Please note that there were many beautiful and intriguing stories amongst the horror in which the Jewish Czech people suffered. Like a rose that grows from the concrete, resiliency and determination was ever-present in each story. However, it is extremely important that we never forget the atrocities done to this community, and recognize how and why they occured, so that we may never allow them to happen again.

After the moving and emotional morning, we took some time to walk around Old Town Square and stop for a bite. We HIGHLY recommend taking the time to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere, good food, and people watching!
We met back up with the group for a short walk to The Municipal House. This amazing Art Nouveau building houses Smetana Hall, which is by far one of the most beautiful concert halls we have ever seen. The tour continued through the different salons, bars, and cafés-ALL donned with gorgeous Art Nouveau decor and one-of-a-kind Alfons Mucha paintings. It also provided a wonderful air-conditioned break from the heat of the Prague summer!
Afterwards, our dear Etelka personally set up a "bonus tour" to a local brewery that had just started providing beer flights, which oddly to us (Jess who lives in Beer City, USA and Tina who lives in the Fruit Belt, with a winery and brewery within every 5 minutes) is a new venture in Prague. She realized that so many of us loved a good pivo that we would not only enjoy, but appreciate such a fun time!

You may think that after such a full day we would return to our comfy beds to rest, but NO WAY! Etelka and Rick Steves' guide books had made some great recommendations, and we were ready for more. After a delicious pizza (and more pivo) at a quaint little place down the block, we caught a fun and unique performance at IMAGE Black Light Theatre and then met up with some of our group friends at a funky Jazz Club, that was conveniently around the corner from our hotel.
